Piloting RAD hub in Rukungiri, Uganda

ThinkAqua is collaborating with Pauson, Tim and their team to develop the first Resilient Aquaculture Designs (RAD) hub in Rukungiri in western Uganda. The hub develops local markets to sell fish produced by smallholder farmers and provides the inputs and technical advice farmers need to succeed. RAD Rukungiri is working with 100 local farmers and selling fish to hundreds more households who couldn't previously access good quality protein to supplement a largely plant-based diet.

Together we aim to replicate this success in other areas of East Africa and are currently seeking blended financing to further support local business development.
