Identifying the best areas for pond aquaculture in Uganda

Uganda has big ambitions for aquaculture growth, both on land and in lakes. We mapped the best places for ponds right across the country, in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries and Gatsby Africa. 75% of the available land in the country is potentially suitable for aquaculture. This planning tool should help entrepreneurs and the government to scale production and generate income and food for local communities.
